Elderberry and Echinacea Root Syrup
Elderberry and Echinacea root are fantastic immune-boosting plants to help you and your family this winter.
This syrup can be used either as a preventative, or if you have actually caught a cold or the flu.
There are 30 doses in a 300ml bottle, and 50 doses in a 500ml bottle.
Ingredients
Ingredients: Sugar (Sucrose), Vegetable Glycerine, Water, Organic Echinacea angustifolia radix (Purple Cone flower Root), Sambucus nigra Fructus (Elderberry)
Dosage
- Adults: 1-2 tablespoons daily (10-20ml)
If you become ill you can take the dose 2-3 times a day and then reduce or stop when you are better.
Safety
Safe for most people, including those with immune problems, though wise to avoid if on strong immunosuppressive prescriptions.
Echinacea is in the Asteracea plant family, and sometimes people exhibit allergic reactions to plants in this family (including daisies and chamomile). If you are allergic to the Asteracea family then avoid.
